Seasonal Depression Seasonal Depression can often be controlled with light. Until recently, there was little evidence that sitting in front of a "light box" helped people with seasonal affective disorder (SAD). New finding: Depressive symptoms almost totally disappeared in 61% if SAD sufferers who got daily light therapy for four weeks. A light box ($300 to $500) may be a good option for SAD sufferers unable to get outdoors for sun exposure.
