Roex Essentials For Women
For Women of Any Age

It has been understood and accepted that good nutrition is the basis of good health. Unfortunately, today’s heavily processed foods lack the nutrients we need for optimum health for both men and women. Busy schedules, poor food and lifestyle choices, stress, family and pollution further contribute to nutritional deficiencies. However, a woman’s body goes through very delicate phases in their lives where extra nutritional focus is very important. Menstrual periods, pregnancy, nursing and menopause are all phases where nutrients can be depleted from the body.

Women thinking about getting pregnant or just trying to get on the path of health should be thinking about the health of their bodies as well as their baby. With this in mind, Roex developed a revolutionary product that helps meet a woman’s specific needs. Essentials™ Formula for Women encompasses the correct nutrients a woman needs during every period of her life. Enhanced with folic acid, iron, and calcium, and added vitamins, minerals and antioxidants to support her specific needs.

Vitamins, Minerals, Antioxidants and Trace Minerals Complex
Folic Acid:
Folic acid is a member of the B complex and is often deficient in the diet. Folic acid helps protect the chromosomes and – is needed for the utilization of sugar and amino acids. It also – promotes healthier skin and helps protect the gastrointestinal tract. However, women thinking about getting pregnant have a greater need for this essential vitamin.

Folic acid is important for healthy growth of your unborn baby. It is essential to the normal development of your baby's spine, brain and skull, especially during the first four weeks of your pregnancy. In early January the British Medical Journal printed a study conducted in North Carolina and Norway where researchers found that woman with folate-rich diets, along with folic acid supplementation, and a multivitamin were associated with the lowest risk of certain birth defects.

Iron: Iron is a mineral that is important to all body cells. It is particularly important for blood cells because iron is needed to make hemoglobin, a protein in blood cells that carries oxygen to the body’s tissues. Most women don’t get enough of this mineral in their diet, especially during menstrual periods and pregnancy.

A study released in October from the November issue of Obstetrics and Gynecology found that infertile women who consumed an average of 76 milligrams of iron per day through supplementation and food sources had a 60 percent lower risk of failure to ovulate than those who ingested the lowest amounts of iron. More than 20 percent of young women have depleted iron levels, according to recent population surveys.

Calcium: For years, women have been told to add calcium to their diet to prevent a gradual thinning of the bones, but now this mineral is also being touted for its potential to promote weight loss, brain health and stress associated with premenstrual syndrome, support healthy blood pressure, and help protect a healthy heart. A pregnant woman needs to give her baby extra calcium to grow strong bones and teeth, a healthy heart, nerves, and muscles, and to develop normal heart rhythm and blood clotting abilities.
