Horsetail powder: Also known as “shavegrass,” this brush-like perennial is related to ferns; it’s named for the bristly appearance of its hollow, jointed stems. Horsetail is also used for its diuretic and astringent properties, making it zuseful for bladder and prostate support. Uva Ursi powder: Uva Ursi, also known as mountain cranberry or “bearberry” (in honor of the bears so fond of its bright red or pink berries), is a shrub that typically grows in elevations of about 6,000 feet.
