About 30% of body's protein is collagen. Collagen Type I is 90% of the body's total collagen supply. Both Collagen I & III are the main collagen types in connective tissue.
B.S.E. (Mad Cow Disease):
NeoCell Collagen supplements are made from USDA approved raw materials, free of
B.S.E. (mad cow disease) under strict veterinary standards. The F.D.A. states in
it's document "Guidance for Industry" dated July 1998 and updated March 5, 2001
(CFR 589.2000) that "... collagen is exempt under the B.S.E. regulation. Data
available to the F.D.A. suggest that collagen does not transmit the
transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathy agent. The conventional manufacturing
process collagen has been demonstrated to inactivate in a significant way, any
residual activity that may have been present in source tissues.

Directions: As a dietary supplement add 6-8 ounces of water or juice slowly to one measuring scoop (included) of Super Collagen Powder once daily. May be taken with other vitamins. For optimum nutritional benefit, drink as suggested on an empty stomach before sleep. Wait 20 minutes before eating.
To maximize absorption and utilization, do NOT add to milk or other protein drinks/powders as this will decrease the benefits.
Dosage can be increased if desired, there are no known side effects. Studies have used upwards of 10-14g a day. Typical increase is 2 scoops a day.

In January 2003 I went off "my" Celebrex - which I was taking for severe osteoarthritis - because it was impeding the healing of a stress fracture in my tibia.
