L-Lysine & L-Proline
L-Lysine is an essential (meaning that the body cannot produce it on its own and
it must be obtained through dietary intake) amino acid that is a necessary
building block for all protein. It helps the body form the collagen that makes
up bone cartilage and connective tissue, and is necessary for tissue growth and
repair. It is beneficial for anyone recovering from surgery or sports injuries.
L-Lysine also serves as a cofactor with Vitamin C to support the collagen matrix
of the veins, arteries and capillaries. L-Lysine helps guard against the herpes
virus and cold sores. Other areas where L-Lysine serves an important role in the
body: in the absorption of calcium; in maintaining a proper nitrogen balance; in
the production of anti-bodies, hormones, and enzymes; in normalizing cholesterol
and triglyceride levels.
L-Proline is a major amino acid found in cartilage and is important for
maintaining youthful skin. It helps repair damaged skin muscle and connective
tissue. L-Proline is an essential component of collagen and is important for the
proper functioning of joints and tendons. It also helps maintain and strengthen
the heart muscle. L-Proline is a cofactor of L-Lysine for supporting the
cardiovascular system.
DIRECTIONS: Take one to three capsules,
three times a day, an hour before meals or on an empty stomach.
